What began in 1996 with an idea, a lot of courage and even more curiosity is now an agency for live communication with impact for employees, customers and partners.
It all began in 1996 with an idea, a lot of curiosity and the courage to just get started. From the very beginning, communication meant listening, tackling problems and taking responsibility.
This is how our foundation was laid: partnership-based, solution-oriented and convinced that successful cooperation always has to do with people. Founded by sisters Marion and Bettina Würth, the first projects started with small budgets and big visions.
In 1997, a new dimension was added with their own travel agency and everything grew: ideas, projects and ourselves. In 2000, we had 35 employees, 7 trainees and a combined turnover of EUR 22.9 million.

From 2002 onwards, things got fast. A time of new beginnings.
Projects grew, as did our responsibilities and our customers' trust in us. We needed structures, but remained true to our hands-on spirit. The days were long, the learning curves steep, but together we achieved more than we had ever imagined. In 2003, we opened our location in Switzerland, followed shortly afterwards by marbet in Italy.
In 2006, marbet then became part of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. A real vote of confidence. With a record result, everything felt like arrival and departure at the same time.

From 2008, as always, everything was in motion at marbet: new locations, major customers, global projects. Externally, things were moving forward in a colorful way, but internally it became complex. In 2010, our record turnover simultaneously brought a loss, a painful signal. It was the year of the euro crisis. This was followed by open discussions, courageous decisions and effective adjustments. We resolutely looked to the future, invested wisely and found new clarity step by step. From 2011, the necessary security was added and marbet got back on track. In 2013, we were stable again and knew from experience that true strength often comes quietly.

After the upheaval, the most successful phase in our history began. We returned to profitability and set new standards with impressive projects. 2014 saw us celebrate the biggest event in the agency's history with the Weishaupt anniversary.
This encouraged and whetted the appetite for more superlatives. This was followed by unforgettable highlights for clients such as Audi, Kärcher, Toyota and Würth. The 70th birthday of Prof. H.C. Reinhold Würth also remains unforgettable in terms of super highlights.
In 2016, we celebrated our own birthday: with "20 years of WAU!" and food trucks at customers throughout Germany. Topics such as collaboration, cohesion, sustainability and brand identity grew, as did the awareness of knowing exactly what we stand for.

In 2020, the pandemic turned the world upside down. The event industry came to a standstill. For marbet, this meant uncertainty, but also cohesion.
But waiting until things got going again is not the marbet mentality. Instead, the team developed digital and hybrid formats to continue supporting customers. 2021 brought the first hope, and in 2022 live events returned slowly but more consciously and sustainably. In line with this, we launched m.guest salt, an innovative tool for flexible guest management, which was used directly and successfully at the first events.
Thanks to our innovative strength, we were able to turn 2023 into another record year. Today, marbet is stronger, more technological and clearer in its approach and ready for whatever comes next.

What's 30 years already!
We want to continue to grow and prosper. We have a great desire for new things. A first milestone on this path: the marbet Office Berlin.
It grew out of the fantastic prio event management team that we welcomed to our team at the beginning of 2026. An invaluable asset to our ambitions, both in human and strategic terms.
We were even able to celebrate our first big "family reunion" and start the birthday year together at the kick-off.
