Together with AWO Schwäbisch Hall, we started the “Cooking Boxes” project virtually on our doorstep. Since 17.04.2023, seven of the families who are cared for by AWO have been receiving boxes of fresh vegetables, fruit, and all sorts of other good ingredients from us every 2 weeks, which our chef Steffen selects from recipes and puts together for the families and is packed with love and enthusiasm by our employees.
Our reward for this: joy in families! There are children's eyes beaming with joy because the family can finally snack on the eagerly awaited strawberries, or the joy of asparagus in our crates.
If you are wondering about this, let me tell you that some foods that go into the shopping cart for many of us as a matter of course are priceless for these and other families. It is therefore the greatest reward for us when we hear about these moments of happiness and fills us all with great gratitude.
There are many people and families in our society who need help for whatever reason. Especially the youngest cannot do anything for the social situation in which they live and need every support. Our cooking boxes are just one way to make a social commitment. However, AWO Schwäbisch Hall and many other social institutions need much more support. Every single person, but also every company — whether big or small — is met with wide open doors at social institutions when they want to support them, in whatever form.
We have taken this first step and will continue along the path with great pleasure. 🚀
